Mentioned in Suomen kirjallisuushistoria I

Catharina Charlotta Swedenmarck wrote 5 poems and one play. She got into economical trouble after the death of her first husband and tried to get economical support from the king. Lord chamberlain Axel Gabriel Leijonhuvud was probably her patron, who also helped her with her creditors. It is possible that Swedenmarck tried to become a Poet Laureate – she wrote mostly praises for the king. Swedenmarck continued to write after her second marriage but didn’t publish anything after the birth of her first child. Suomen kirjallisuushistoria I, 145. JWapr14
