Mentioned in Suomen kirjallisuushistoria I

Elisabeth held a salon for her sons and their friends already in Helsinki and continued as a salonniere when the family moved to Kuopio. Elisabeth and Minna Canth become friends although Alexander Järnefelt, now the governor of Kuopio, found Canht as a socialist and later broke all relationships to her. Later, as a widow, Elisabeth moved to Lohja with her son Arvid and his wife Emmy. There they had their own little salon which turned to evening class. Suomen kirjallisuushistoria I, 86-87. JWapr14
