Ida Godenhjelm was a teacher who founded together with her husband Bernhard Godenhjelm a school for girls, "jatko-opisto" and by herself a kindergarten. She didn't have much possibilites to study in Finland because she wasn't a gentry woman, but she studied abroad in many institutions. She was also active in the Martha organization and in the Women's Association Unioni. She edited the children's magazine Pääskynen with her sister Minna Krohn. JWmay14
