Tekla Hultin was a boyish girl, who completed the “jatko-opisto” and become M.A 1894. She defended her thesis as the first woman in Finland 1896. After that she worked as an editor in Päivälehti-newspaper and then in the magazine “Isänmaan ystävät” (Friends of the fatherland). Later she got the post of the second actuary in the statistical main office. Hultin was a member of the parliament 1908-1924 representing the Young Finns. Jwapr14
