Born in Amersfoort.
Friend of Busken Huet, to whom she had lent money (Praamstra, Gezond verstand, 211); in exchange she became a fixed employee at the Alg. Dagblad van Ned. Indië: she translated the novels and short stories that Busken Huet had selected from French into Dutch for the feuilleton (Praamstra, GV 298).
Also translator of a.o. Henry Gréville; work published in Alg.Dagblad van Ned.Indië 1878 and 1879. corr. with Busken Huet (Vastgeraakte locomotief, p.228)
