Hanna Frosterus was born in a family that had many priests and artists. She started studying art as a young girl. She also studied art in Paris. She was able to continue panting also after her marriage, because her husband had promised her an annual vacation and kept his promise. Frosterus-Segerstråle painted mostly children, women and old people. She got many prices althought her paintings weren’t much on view. She was also a writer – during her life she wrote many books for children. Jwapr14
