Anna Olsoni was the first Finnish teacher of home economics and she also wrote first book about the subject in Finnish. She studied in England, Sweden and Scotland and had the qualification 1890. 1891 she founded a cooking school which later became the subject of home economics in the university. Olsoni was also a member of the council, active in the service club and editor of the magazine Kotiliesi ("Hearth"). JWaug14
