MENTIONED IN: - Buck, Guide to women's literature, 1992: "She wrote lively tales about contemporary family life. They became so popular that, after her husband's death, she was able to support all five of his children by her writing". - ADB - Goedeke dl.X
No translations in French according to catalogue BnF. svdmay10 She wrote a novel Claudie, where the antagonist is called Ludmilla. In Slovenian the translation entitled Ljudmila was published with the explanation that it was written by a German woman (Ljudmila. Nemški spisala ***). The book is lost in Slovenia, therefore for the moment we are not able to check the content. However, it is possible that the translation was named after the antagonist, since in this period translation were sometimes not very loyal to the original and that might also explain why the translator did not want to name the author of the novel.
