Born in a noble family of Tyzenhaus. Married to a French immigrant O. de Choiseul-Gouffier, owner of Plateliai manor. She was a close friend of the Emperor of Russia Alexander I. Corresponded with Alfred de Musset and was acquainted with Alexandre Dumas.
