Elin Kallio was active in girl's gymnastics and founded together with her cousin the first nordic association for women's gymnastics. She was Swedish-speaking but learned to speak and write Finnish. Kallio was also actively working for the opening of the gymnastics institute in the university for women. Later she held courses for gymnastics teachers and play courses for children. Kallio wrote many basic works about gymnastics. JWmay14
