Hilja Haahti was born in a Fennoman home; her mother was a writer and her father translator and compiler. Haahti graduated as a teacher and studied in the university – she become M.A 1902. Hilja Haahti wrote more than 50 books including books for children, novels, poetry, travel literature and memoirs. She didn’t get good reviews but her books were loved by the audience. Christian conviction was important for her and she founded the Triad association, which included art, Finnishness and religion. Jwapr14
