Originally Estonian Hella Wuolijoki came to Finland to study in the university. She got B.A.1908 but focused soon more on business. She was a well-known background agent in politics and her home was a famous meeting place. Wuolijoki was a radical leftist and had during the war active communication with the inquiry of the Soviet Union. She was also active in the peace negotiations. After the war she was judged for treason and went to prison. After that she worked as the leader of the public broadcasting company in Finland and wrote many famous plays under the name Juhani Tervapää.
