Aino Ackte was born to a musician family; her mother and father were opera singers and her mother was also a music pedagog and her father a composer. Ackte was accepted to the conservatory in Paris when she was 18-years old. 1897 Ackte got an attachment to the Paris opera. Later she performed in Metropolitan opera in New York and in German and England. Ackte translated Juhani Aho to French in an early age and later she wrote memoirs. Jwapr14
