Notes ['An article in the newspaper Aamulehti (by A.V.L) 5.3.1920 says: "Books by the American Louisa M. Alcott are counted to the most famous books for the young in the world justly.--- The new one, Boys of Plumfield, is kind of sequal, it tells what became from the boys of the school and institution of sweet and lovely Mrs Joe and her husband, Mr. Bhaer. As in the earlier ones, also here we can see the author\'s understanding of the young psyche. Her warm empathy and love towards every living creature makes her live with whole her soul in the story and takes the reader interested and excited to live along. Louisa M. Alcott has fine instinct and is natural when describing the characters. The most different characters, their development, the barriers, temptations, falls, rises and rising powers she describes naturally and realistic. Despite the love and empathy that the boys of Plumfield when growing up and later in the world get from Jo and the other care takers, not everyone of them becomes a hero or a model - every tree doesnt\'t become a God - but all of them have the impact of Plumfield as the deepest undercurrent of life guiding them. The richness of the events, the lively way of telling and the honest way to depict the characters attracts the minds of the young readers. Even for those, to whom the education of youth is close tho heart, there is a lot of interesting, good and comforting, like the fact that good education cultivated by sacrificing love is the best one, even the determinant in spite of the genetic faults and the spoiling impact of the environment. \'Plumfieldin pojat\' is a book for the young but even for the parents who love the young - as well is education is something common to them and can only succeed in agreement. The value of the book is even higher because of it\'s beautiful Finnish appearance. may the book find it\'s way to thousands of homes!" JWaug16']
