Notes ['The article in the magazine Kirjastolehti 1.4.1917 says: "There are many translations of the excellent stories by Alcott, the last one \'Little women\' is one of the best, maybe the best one. Four sisters, of which the oldest ones are becoming women, try to free themselves from the weaknesses of their nature, carry their burdens patient to find the \'wonderful castle\' like the pilgrims in Bunyan\'s \'Pilgrim\'s Progress\', under the guidance of their high-minded, tender mother. The family has been rich but has lost money while helping others. There is also plenty of temptations and reasons for dissatisfaction. In the trials, especially when father gets seriously ill in the war and one of the sisters comes at death\'s door, these women develop and refine even more sweet and perfect. Besides everything high and beautiful is there in this book also a lot of everything fresh playfulness and romanticism, so that it for sure pleases it\'s young readers. It\'s really a book for the girls." JWaug16']
